Resources & Articles

Angel's Loving Care Inc. has prepared a number of tools for our clients which includes what we call "SPECIAL REPORT-HEALTH SERIES".

ALC's "CLIENT NOTICE- CAREGIVER TAX EXEMPTION" is updated yearly and our "HEALTH SERIES" is updated and added to as appropriate. A lot of our Client and CareGiver tools come from the suggestions of both our Clients and our CareGivers.

  • ALC Alzheimer's Description - Alzheimer's disease (pronounced Alz-hi-merz) is a progressive, degenerative disease that attacks the brain and results in impaired memory, thinking and behavior. It affects an estimated 4 million American adults.
  • ALC CG Weekly Activities Checklist Form - This a checklist used to keep track of client's weekly activities.
  • ALC Client Check List Form - This form is designed to evaluate the client's specific needs and to determine a compatible CareGiver.
  • ALC Dementia Description - Dementia is an umbrella term used to describe the loss of cognitive or intellectual function. Many conditions can cause dementia.
  • ALC Parkinson's Description - Parkinson's disease is a chronic neurological disorder caused by a lack of the chemical dopamine in the brain. Symptoms are tremors, rigidity and bradykinesia [slow movements]. In addition one may notice a stooped posture, a mask-like facial expression, shuffling gait, arms kept fixed to the side of the body when walking and difficulty with fine hand movements. Not all patients have all of the symptoms and careful diagnosis is necessary.
  • ALC Pneumonia Description - Pneumonia is the inflammation of one or both lungs. In people with pneumonia, air sacs in the lungs fill with fluid, preventing oxygen from reaching blood cells and nourishing the other cells of the body.
  • ALC Protect Yourself - How do you know when it's time to seek help for the care of a loved one in order to maintain self health? A study of spouses that care for a loved one found that those who experience mental or emotional strain have a 63% higher risk of death than those that don't have this type of responsibility. Some providing care are so concerned with their relatives emotional, practical and physical needs that they lose sight of their own well-being. Please use the self-assessment questionnaire to help assess your need for help.
  • ALC Tax Exemption - ALC has provided the following information so that you are aware of possible tax deductions.
  • Questions to Ask - When the time comes for your loved one to receive care over and above what you can provide it is time to consider the support of a Professional CareGiver, a Board and Care Facility of an Assisted Living Facility. The decision can be difficult and often overwhelming.
